Banana Chia Pudding Healthy Snack!

I am a sucker for healthy snacks, aren’t we all? Well I gotta be honest about my past, I remember those days when I was 8, 9 and even 17 years old, and all I wanted to do was eat junk food. I mean when you are growing up and nobody explains to you that doritos with nutella (yes, I love the sweet & salty combination) are not the healthiest for you, then that’s all you want to eat growing up. Until you realize that you might not be going número 2 because you are not eating enough of the good stuff and too much of the bad stuff.

When I discovered healthy eating and started being regular I became addicted to finding out ways to eat yummy foods that were also good to my body.

Chia seeds and bananas are a few of those yummy foods that are staples in my kitchen.

Here is a super healthy snack that’s not only delicious but it’s also EXTREMELY good for your body! This chia pudding is packed with fiber, protein, antioxidants and omega 3, which is a multiple win..

All organic Ingredients:

green-apple-clipart_GyCSztKd_Web 1 peeled banana

green-apple-clipart_GyCSztKd_Web ¼ cup cashews soaked overnight, drained & rinsed

green-apple-clipart_GyCSztKd_Web ¼ cup chia seeds

green-apple-clipart_GyCSztKd_Web ¼ cup hemp seeds (optional)

green-apple-clipart_GyCSztKd_Web ½ cup non-dairy milk. I used coconut milk

green-apple-clipart_GyCSztKd_Web 1 scoop of your favorite vanilla protein. I used Biotrust

green-apple-clipart_GyCSztKd_Web 2-3 soft medjool pitted dates

green-apple-clipart_GyCSztKd_Web A handful of blueberries to top it off.

Preparation:

  1. Blend the banana with the cashews, the milk, dates, hemp seeds, the scoop of protein in a high speed blender.
  2. Pour mix in a glass container, stir in chia seeds and cover.
  3. Place in the fridge overnight.
  4. In the morning you can eat it and top it off with blueberries or any fruits you like for an awesome breakfast option or for a healthy afternoon snack.
