Breathing Technique To Control Cravings!

Hola amigos,

I have been having quite an intense and busy week. Starting with the pope’s goodbye ceremony that I was a part of this past Sunday, then working on my 3-Day Detox, which I am pouring my heart and soul to bring you an amazing, simple and effective program. Lastly, keeping up with my blog, the videos, the recipes, now periscope and the social media posting, geez… It’s a lot my friends… Sometimes I wonder if my message is being heard, if I am making an impact. There are times I feel like I need two or even three of myself to finish all the deadlines I have. And then I remember why I do this and it all makes sense at that moment. I do this because I changed, I transformed, I became a better, healthier version of myself and I believe anybody can do it. If you want a change in your health, life and body YOU CAN DO IT. I did it, I am learning more and more everyday and I love sharing all this info with you.

In this week’s video I am showing you a simple breathing technique to help control your cravings. (Spanish with English Subtitles)

You might be wondering, how in the world a breathing technique can control your cravings, right? Well, it’s very simple, when you breath deeply you are sending more oxygen to your brain and your body tissues and that helps to release the tension that cravings create.

But what causes a craving? It might be actual hunger but in many cases it might be stress. The stress is caused by our bodies secreting certain hormones and going into self-defense mode thus activating our hunger.

This technique is very simple and easy to do. Whenever you feel a craving, find a comfortable place and sit down, put your hands on your legs, and start breathing deeply in and out. Make sure you are just focusing on the breathing and do this 3 times. After this, go ahead and make yourself a healthy snack like combining almond or rice milk with 1/2 banana, spinach and 1/4 cup of walnuts. Or you can drink a tea and sweeten it with stevia or raw honey and 1/4 cup of walnuts or almonds.
