In this week’s video “The traffic light rule” I explain an easy way using the colors red, green and orange to control your calories and maintain your ideal weight or lose those extra pounds to reach your healthy weight.
This rule is very simple, basically every meal be sure to eat a vegetable of these colors. You can see examples of which types of foods and how to combine them in this week’s video. Watch it here:
There are many options you can eat and you will learn variations on the video but as a general rule:
Always think of adding color to your plate from unprocessed food sources!

Another reminder to control calories and reach your ideal healthy weight is to stay away from processed foods as much as you can. Processed is everything that does not come from the earth and comes packaged or canned with preservatives and chemicals.
Vegetables and fruits are high in water and fiber which are beneficial for the proper functioning of our digestive system. And we can not ignore the fact that vitamins and minerals from whole foods add years of life and health to our bodies. There are also many studies that verifies the more fruits and vegetables we consume the less risk of developing certain types of cancers.
So let’s consume more fruits and vegetables my friends, in every meal…
